I’m a British expat living in Tel Aviv. Without writing I become aimless and disconnected, like a child’s lost balloon. In my box of soundbites there are many images and impressions. My blog mirrors this.

I’m inspired by classic Americana tempered by an English aesthete. Rock and roll. God and the glory of the world. Its highways, motels and cafés. Deserts and forest floors. Books, manuscripts. Lighthouses, meteor showers, space, sparkles and urban legends. Its storms, ancient ruins, folk songs and the supernatural. Its national parks, coffee, chocolate and the juxtaposition of dark and light. I believe in music the way some people believe in fairy tales.

  1. Thanks for the comment on ‘Some British Films’. Your home page is really good, and I liked ‘The Lady of Shalot’ image, as it seems appropriate. Intelligent stuff, and very well written.

  2. I have been with WordPress for over five years now with mainly a spiritually centered poetry blog. I have a few self-published poetry books where the profits go to serve the “homeless cause” in Texas. As the saying goes, I have been to a couple of county fairs and a hog show in my lifetime. I love the high calibre of individuals who participate in blogging thru this platform.

I have to say, your blog really caught my attention. It is a combination of your beauty, that look in your eye, and the depth of your writing that captures my interest. I hope to return often to your blog. I also hope to have over time, more sharing of your beautiful thoughts about life and the eternity that is before all of us. Blessings in your journey.

    John
